Kegondi Health Centre : Equipping rural health facilities in Kenya
Rural communities in Kenya face many challenges associated with poor access to healthcare. One of these challenges is the dependency on inadequately staffed and equipped health facilities. Due to distances from major towns, which have better equipped hospitals, rural community residents have to make do with health clinics that lack the capacity to deal with emergencies and other health needs of the community.
COHESU was honored to facilitate the delivery of health equipment to Kegondi Health Centre in Sabatia Constituency, West Maragoli. The list of needs for this Health Centre is long, including a great need for HIV/AIDS drugs for people living with HIV/AIDS. We hope to have another opportunity to supply more equipment in future with the help of our friends. We thank all of you who made these first donations possible.
