Women Write Life: Transforming Women's Health Narratives in the Wake of COVID-19

Updated: Mar 9

The profound impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has not been evenly distributed across global populations, with women and seniors in low to middle-income countries disproportionately shouldering the burden of health inequities.

Through our transformative project, Women Write Life: Women Rise, we, at Cohesu, in close partnership with our Canadian and Ugandan teams, aim to give voice to the often-neglected concerns, needs, and ideas of these key populations.

Funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), we are using innovative methodologies that prioritize the voices of women and policymakers, the research will lead to evidence-informed policy and practice-making. The program will employ a transdisciplinary approach and a parallel case study design to facilitate comparisons of results and mobilization of learnings between two research sites.

This project is not just about research; it's about translating knowledge into action, empowering women to pen their own future narratives in the post-pandemic world.
